BCS Certificate for IT Users Level 1
BCS Level 1 Certificate for IT Users (ECDL
Part 1) is designed to give an initial overview of computer use for the
beginner or candidate who wishes to gain a qualification. The qualification
is made up of three units, which have a direct mapping to the European
Computer Driving Licence for the following modules. It is particularly
useful for those seeking employment or for those currently employed who
wish to have their computer and software application skills recognised
at all certificate levels.
The programme allows students to progress at their own
speed and to sit each of the 3 tests when they choose. Each passed test
is recorded in the student’s personal logbook (issued at the start
of the course). After the delegate has completed the three modules they
will receive a BCS Level 1 Certificate.
